Zip News André Tardif is back in Québec!

After a thirty year absence, André Tardif, director of Alex & Bruno (Priape/Chisel Media, 1999), one of the rare pornos made in Québec, will move back to this province, probably this spring. André, originally from the Bois-Francs region and currently residing in Vancouver, will be living in the metropolis. Alex & Bruno, starring Nino Bacci and Michel Mattel, was produced in collaboration with Stanlé Lubrik.
André Tardif spent most of last fall commuting between Vancouver and Montreal to film several scenes of an upcoming Channel 1 Releasing movie of the "extremely popular" Chi Chi LaRue. In fact, Mr. Tardif is moving here partly because he was tired of traveling from one part of the country to the other while carrying his equipment. But his main reason for moving is that "the models are in Montreal, this is where we can recruit handsome men because they have a wide variety of styles and they are sexy, just like we like them," adds André. In total, Tardif will shoot eight movies for Channel 1 and most scenes will be filmed here with Quebec actors.
But also, Tardif has "fallen in love" with Montreal, whose charms he discovered during his latest trips. And although Vancouver is close to the international gay porn capital that is Los Angeles, "Montreal has a great location and is in proximity to the great American New England centers, as well as Europe. Montreal is in the middle of all that so it is advantageous if we wish to travel for location scouting, meeting producers, or filming. It is more economical and we spend less time on the airplanes," notes Tardif.
André will be very busy. Once his move is finalized, on top of shooting for Miss LaRue, he will be in charge of filming an erotic wrestling video for Can Am (www.can-am.com), right here, this summer. He will also shoot some scenes for the badpuppy.com (www.badpuppy.com) web site this summer and is currently negotiating a collaborative project with MSR studios. It would be a production on a scale comparable to the movies produced by MSR in Los Angeles or New York. There is also, I heard, a video project in Europe that would involve the splendid Quebec porn star Alex LeMonde. Phew!
